Rochelle S. Michel is Executive Director of the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) at Educational Records Bureau (ERB). Prior to joining ERB, Dr. Michel was Director of Research for higher education admissions within the Academic to Career Research Center at Educational Testing Service (ETS). In prior roles, Dr. Michel served as the Research Director at Curriculum Associates, responsible for the management of the company’s national research agenda and previously worked at ETS as a Psychometric Manager where she coordinated the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) psychometric work. She also held other positions at ETS including working within the Global Education Division serving as the liaison between the Program and Research & Development areas. In addition, she was an Assistant Professor of Research and Evaluation Methodology at Florida International University. She also has extensive teaching experience in Mathematics and Statistics, at the junior high school, high school and college levels. Dr. Michel received her Ph.D. in Psychometrics from Fordham University.

Dr. Michel has been an active member of NERA since 2008, serving in various capacities. She served on the NERA Board of Directors from 2012-2015. During that time, she was able to start the NERA Conference Ambassadors Committee. The committee was established in 2013 to help support the membership by finding ways to welcome new conference attendees, both as they prepare for the conference and during the conference itself. Since then, she has chaired the committee and it is now housed within the Membership committee to further ensure that the important work of this committee continues.
