Tia Fechter is a Personnel Research Psychologist for the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) within the Office of People Analytics (OPA) which is a component of the Defense Human Resources Activity (DHRA) where her research primarily focuses on the military entrance exam, Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB). Dr. Fechter earned her Ed.D. in Research and Evaluation Methods from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Dr. Fechter has been an active member of NERA since 2008, serving in various capacities. Prior to her more recent role as Treasurer, she served on the NERA Board of Directors from 2016 - 2018. Other roles include Infrastructure Committee Chair (2015-2016), Webmaster (2012-2015), and Program co-Chair (2011-2012) with Craig Wells and Gil Andrada.
