ANDREW JONES, TREASURER

Andrew Jones, Ph.D, is a graduate of the Assessment and Measurement program at James Madison University and is the Director of Psychometrics and Research at the American Board of Surgery (ABS) where he conducts research and leads efforts around improving operational psychometric processes. More recently, he has been heavily involved in converting oral exams to a virtual exam format. Andrew has published research related to psychometrics and assessment in the medical professions and his publications can be found in both measurement and medical journals. Andrew served in various leadership positions in professional educational measurement societies and is currently a chair of two American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) advisory groups for research and psychometrics while also serving on the ABMS Database and Information Technology Advisory Committee (DITAC).

Andrew joined NERA in 2007 and has served on the Board of Directors, acted as a Mentor, Reviewer, and Discussant prior to serving as Treasurer.
